In support of local businesses during this year's holiday season, the City of Lynchburg in partnership with Lynch's Landing will be offering free two-hour parking from Thanksgiving Day to New Year's Day throughout downtown. We hope that this program encourages more Lynchburg area residents and visitors to shop, dine, play, and explore in Downtown Lynchburg, and to make downtown a part of their holiday festivities.
This applies to all City-managed paid parking lots, including: Community Market Lot (Lot H), Corner of Main St. and Commerce St. (Lot E), Suntrust Parking Deck, Midtown Parking Deck, and Clay St. Parking Deck. For visits longer than the 2 free parking in the parking lots, visitor will need to pay at the pay station.
Making parking free for two hours only will welcome daily traffic while still encouraging the turnover needed for retail and restaurants to thrive.
All on-street parking in downtown will remain free from Thanksgiving to January 1, and time limits for those space will be dictated by signage.
