First Fridays

First Fridays is a monthly celebration of art, music, food, and community across Lynchburg, hosted by James River Arts. On the first Friday of every month starting at 5pm, galleries and arts spaces open new exhibits and host receptions, performances, and open studios - then make a night of it downtown.

Participating venues have included Riverviews Artspace, the Academy Center of the Arts, the Lynchburg Art Club, Vector Space, the Lynchburg Museum and Visitor's Center, and Old City Cemetery. Most venues run 5-8pm and are free and open to all ages.
