Pocket Parks, also known as parklets or mini-parks, these small public spaces are generally accessible to the public; they are ideal solutions for transforming vacant building lots or irregular pieces of land; at times, they may be included as a component of a public space requirement in conjunction with large-scale building projects. Offering greenery and outdoor seating, it is DLA’s hope that this pocket park will foster community investment and engagement as a result of activating this previously neglected corner.
Join the DLA as we unveil Downtown Lynchburg’s first pocket park and hear remarks from Vice Mayor Mary Jane Dolan.
Refreshments to be announced soon.
