Are You Ready to Cinn?

Cinn_1.jpg

Cinn City has a special treat in store this fall and it’s called The Lumberjack. A warm and gooey cinnamon roll topped with maple frosting, cinnamon apples, cinnamon drizzle, and bacon- WOW! If your sweet tooth is asking for a little more, try swapping the bacon for pecans and the changing the drizzle to caramel. Trust us- either way you get it, it’s simply delicious. You’ll want to go back for seconds!

We can’t help but run out and take a few pictures in the beautiful autumn aurora. If you’re heading out with us, be sure to check out these Instagramable spots!

  • Donna Park on Church Street! This beauty is still a little new around here. It’s a miniature green space in our urban area, filled with seating, shade, and colorful backgrounds- sure to make everyone stop and snap a quick pic. (map)

  • Jefferson Street is filled with great photo spots! From the skyline steps by The Glass House, to the greenery below the Bluffwalk, and even at Waterstone’s beer garden - you’ll definitely be to find a background you’re looking for!

  • Riverfront Park, also right off Jefferson Street! Feel the bustle of the city, the serenity of nature, and the beauty of your photos. (map)

  • Lynchburg Camera Shop, also known as the White Wall, on Main Street. But really, there are so many beautifully textured white walls throughout Downtown if you’re wanting a strong background - just check out the photo above! (map)

  • Monument Terrace is an oldie but a goodie. Stand by the fountain, sit on the steps, or stroll through the rose garden halfway to the top. However you decide to enjoy the steps, you’re guaranteed to get a stunning snapshot! (map)

On Sundays, We Brunch.

We’re all about supporting local artists, good causes, and tasty mimosas, and at this year’s Makers Brunch, we can just that! This annual event hosted by Riverviews Artspace features local art and handmade goods for sale, along with mimosas, breakfast beer cocktails, food vendors, and children’s activities. You can even get ahead on your- dare we say it-Christmas shopping. Each ticket purchased will go towards Miriam’s House, a local nonprofit working to end homelessness. With all these goods, who wouldn’t want to make a morning of it?!

(Pumpkin) Spice It Up!

Blackline-4.jpg

Lynchburg is somewhat of a Coffee Central to many locals. With what feels like a new shop on each block, it can be overwhelming to discover what’s in the area.  We made your job easier by taking it upon ourselves to visit each coffee shop downtown and try their fall menu items (Such a burden, we know. You’re so welcome for taking one for the team). We found our favorites, and now we want to share them with you! Find all the details of our downtown coffee tour here!

Who Run the World?

Tulip_2.jpg

GIRLS! Beyoncé knows what’s up, and so does The Hip Tulip! This adorable flower shop sells all the florals you could need, as well as candles, cards, and other local goods. Not only is the shop a great (and new!) edition to downtown, but they are also partnering with Lynchburg Ladies to host a female-focused event on Friday, November 8th at 6:30 pm. Expect coffee, desserts, floral arrangements, and vendors from other women-owned businesses. Grab your best friend, your mom, or another #LadyBoss and get your tickets now!
