Old City Cemetery

Amazement Square
Amazement Square — The Rightmire Children's Museum is Central Virginia's first multidisciplinary, hands-on children's museum, housed in a restored 19th-century warehouse at Ninth and Jefferson in downtown Lynchburg. Four floors of interactive exhibits span art and performance, science and engineering, health, history, and storytelling, anchored by the multi-story Amazement Tower. Open since 2001. Hours: Wednesday–Saturday 10am–5pm, Sunday 1pm–5pm; closed Monday and Tuesday. Admission $15 children 1–15, $10 adults, $8 seniors 60+, free under 1.
